You already know Nutcache is in a continuous improvement process. This means that there are updates almost every week and, most of all, that the team behind the project is working hard every day in order to support a high quality application that will remain free forever.
Flexible dynamic reports
The 4.8 release of Nutcache brings a totally new reports engine that will help you display several reports at the same time and will provide a rich insight on your activities, letting you generate business patterns that will improve your time and financial performance. Faster and powerful, the new engine is designed to support high volume data entries and to optimize data according to several new filters. In addition, a few new reports have been added to help you keep a tight control over your business and provide a better insight into how it is performing.
You are now officially part of the project
Nutcache is listening to your suggestions and uses them to shape an app that is compatible with a wide area of business activities. Even if the new report module is the headline story of this update, there are a few other things that will make some of you happy.
For example, we noticed an important number of users think that “Hours” is not the proper way to measure their services. So we changed the Hours in Units, as a response to this growing demand from our users. Later on, users will be able to choose their own units (e. g. weeks, classes, hours, minutes or anything that properly measures the services they provide).
In order to avoid confusion, all the electronic messages sent via Nutcache will now display your company name in the “From” field. This will help your clients easily identify any invoice or estimate you share with them. Also, for those not willing to display their logo on some of their documents, there is now the option to remove it.
The summer of 2014 is supposed to be hot for the Nutcache users. The version 5 is closer and closer and is about to bring a bunch of new features. Stay tuned!
