Software architect

We are first looking for a first-rate collaborator who will be able to fully understand business needs, integrate them and translate them into functional specifications. Also and in concert with the President and the Product Manager (PO), you will be involved in the definition of strategies as well as in the various deployments. You will contribute to the efficiency of the software by analyzing, designing and evolving the architecture of the software and databases. You will ensure consistency between the architecture in place and future developments.

Under the supervision of the President (CEO), the software architect must assume a leadership role with the various stakeholders. You will make recommendations for the development of technological solutions and the realization of high complexity projects. You will be in charge, in collaboration with the architecture team, of verifying, correcting and developing the architecture of the application. You will have to define the standards and procedures to be applied in the development and make them evolve over time while maintaining a global vision.


  • Understand the business area and the organization;

  • Understand the functional needs of the system to be developed, its general processing and data architecture, the organization of work, its development prospects, the volumes and anticipated constraints;

  • Determine the WEB solution architecture that best meets business needs. To analyze and compare possible solutions, assess the impact on the architecture and recommend the necessary adjustments, in particular to take into account security, performance, capacity and availability issues;

  • The architect must be able to take complex topics and transform them into concrete deliverables cut by Sprints (Agile-Scrum). They also take a Devops approach. Mastery of Microservices, CI CD, container, OpenShift (or equivalent) is important;

  • You are a continuous learner who can conduct rapid application development for proof of concept and exploration of current and future cloud computing technologies;

  • You are a thought leader, guiding Nutcache on its Engineering, DevOps journey, staying up to date with industry trends and architectural concepts;Be a People Management who is ready to rollup the sleeves, lead tech leads, DevOps and ensure engineering teams have the insights and observability they need to support their services;

  • Lead teams made up of technical leads and DevOps and work with executive leadership;

  • You are an experienced with CI&CD, build automation tools, orchestration – Jenkins;

  • Design system architecture for a new product in accordance with modern design patterns like micro-services;

  • Serves as subject matter expert for the creation of new tools and processes of emerging and evolving technologies;

  • Document the chosen architecture;

  • Proactively identify, mitigate and resolve technical risks and issues;

  • Organize and chair synergy, consultation and validation workshops with the required

  • Consolidate the information gathered during the various meetings, with respect to the understanding of leadership expectations;

  • Perform cost and feasibility validation according to the process established by the architecture team;

  • Present the business case to the approval bodies according to the validation and approval process in force;

  • Communicate to the Chairman any element likely to have an impact on the
    achievement of content, cost or deadline objectives, so that the appropriate measures can be taken;

  • Participates in design reviews to ensure that designs effectively and efficiently fit within the established architecture;

  • Effectively applies knowledge about security threats and how to counteract them to ensure the application is secure.


  • Hold a university degree in software engineering;

  • 5+ years experience in large business (high volume of clients);

  • Experience with CI & CD;

  • Experience with build automation tools, orchestration – Jenkins;

  • 5+ years experience in software development and/or project manager and/or solution architect;

  • In-depth technical knowledge in software development, database and computer

  • Solid experience in .NET, #C, REACT, WEB API;

  • Have a good command of French and English, both orally and in writing;

  • Be experienced in software architecture projects using the Agile method;

  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (an asset).
